CORMAC is re-awarded the Medicare Exclusion Database (MED) Prime Contract by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), an agency within Health and Human Services. MED is a repository of provider exclusions initiated by HHS’s Office of the Inspector general (OIG). MED alerts the stakeholders, primarily the Medicare contractors, to stop payments to excluded providers. MED plays a vital role in curtailing Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) and ensures excluded individuals and entities do not violate the terms of their exclusion.
CORMAC is honored to be selected by CMS to continue to provide both maintenance and enhancements to the system for the next 4 years with the additional mission to modernize and migrate MED to the Cloud.
